Our staff at Golden Oaks are trained in the field of Alzheimer’s and Dementia. There is a lot that goes into taking care of someone with Alzheimer’s and other types of Dementia. Our staff will not only care for their daily needs but also help them succeed at being the best they can be and meet them where they are cognitively and emotionally.
Our staff receive continuous training on new therapies and treatments that can enhance the life of someone with Alzheimer’s or Dementia.
If you feel that you have what it takes to be a part of the Golden Oaks team, give us a call. We are looking for dedicated, kind, compassion and loving people.
Christi is a mom of 2 amazing boys, ages 20 and 15.
Christi has worked in the medical field in some fashion for over 25 years. Over that amount of time she found a passion for working with the geriatric community and has spent most of her time in this area. Christi's clinical experience has been in long-term care, skilled rehab, home health, assisted living, memory care, primary care and hospital settings. Christi also does patient advocacy on the side and is working towards board certification to help patients and families that are trying to navigate the difficult healthcare system.
Christi's experience within the industry has not only been at bedside clinical but also in administration & management, operations, marketing & admissions, and insurance - creating a vast knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare replacements, commercial insurance, VA, and LTC.
There are a few causes that Christi is passionate about and hopes that at the end of the day, she is able to make a difference. Christi is most passionate about bringing awareness and education for Alzheimer's and to help fight for a cure and notes that her life is so much fuller because of the residents. Christi loves the laughs and tears shared as well as hearing stories about their lives and history they want to share.
Sundays are Christi's favorite day of the week because she loves to go to church and spend the day with her family. Christi most hopes to foster memories and traditions that her boys will forever remember and cherish and that they can carry on with their children/grand-children some day.
